Short Biography
In 1996, he obtained his Ph. D. degree in computer science from Southeast University, Nanjing, China.
In 1989, he obtained his Master’s degree in computer science from Southeast University, Nanjing, China.
In 1983, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China.
He has been doing teaching and research in the area of data base and information systems for long time. He has been involved in many research projects in China and abroad. Before he came back to China in June 2012, he had been worked in UK universities for over a decade. He has published more than 90 research papers. Some of them were published in authoritative journals in the area including “Information Processing and Management”, “Information Retrieval”, “American Journal of Information Science and Technology”, “Data and Knowledge Engineering”, etc。About 20 of them have been indexed by SCI, and over 50 by EI. According to Google Scholar, his papers have been cited for over 400 times by others. In 2012, he published a monograph “Data fusion in information retrieval” by Springer.
